A parish-based community of spiritual and ministry formation serving the Anglican Church
The program consists of six courses: Old Testament, New Testament, Theology, Church History, Worship, and Anglicanism. The courses are based upon a workbook provided to the student. Course assessments will be through weekly homework assignments—no research papers or exams are required. Grades are on a pass/fail basis.
The courses last for a 12 week term and at least two courses will be offered each term, with three terms being held each year. Please note advanced standing will not be given for these courses to any of ASM's certificate or diploma programs.
Instructors will meet with students via teleconferencing. Each instructor is highly qualified, having at least a master's degree (or its equivalent) in Bible, theology, or a related subject.Admissions requirements: at least 18 years of age and a high school or GED graduate.
Costs: $25.00 one-time application fee, $33.00 plus postage for the course curriculum/ workbook, and $200.00 tuition per course. Students may apply for a Looney Scholarship (see Forms page) but the Active Ministry Scholarship is available only for certificate and diploma students.
Program completion time: approximately one year.
Enrollment deadline for first term (September 1-November 30): August 21.
